The best dive sites on the island are: Paraiso Reef North, Paraiso Reef South, Chankanaab, Beachcomber Cavern, Tormentos, Yucab, El Paso del Cedral, Tunich, Cardona, San francisco, Santa Rosa, Palancar, Punta Sur, Colombia, Maracaibo, and Colombia Shallows. The lagoon in the Chankanaab Park has a lovely reef just offshore, where scuba divers can view the coral, sunken cannon and anchors. Here is easy to find lobsters, starfish, octopus, and rays.
